Your SABiDU account is protected by a password which you have chosen during the registration to your account. This means that you are the only person having access to your account. To ensure this, you should chose a complex password and change it on a regular basis.

It is furthermore possible to access the SABiDU websites via a specially secured server.

To securely use the SABiDU Services, SABiDU needs to collect and process personal data in the course of the registration process. Initially, these are the following data:

3.2 Voluntary Data

If you wish, you may provide additional information about yourself on a voluntary basis (hereinafter referred to as "Voluntary Data"), apart from the mandatory data. If not marked otherwise, these data can be made visible to other SABiDU members such as your direct contacts.

3.3 Your Profile and Contact Management

SABiDU shall never disclose or pass your password and/or your user name on to any other third party. In some cases, due to law or reason, we have to make an exception. This is the case if support-members access user accounts on their requests to diagnose problems or if the account needs to be accessed due to legal reasons and we see us forced to make personal data available to others to protect rights, ownership or security of SABiDU, SABiDU members, and the public. We continuously enhance the SABiDU services and their functions and activate them for the use by SABiDU members. Again, it is our concern to offer those services free of charge and it is our opinion that target-oriented advertisement will be accepted by our members. In order to use the advantages of SABiDU-services, a membership is mandatory, which means that if you would like to communicate via SABiDU, both parties need to have a SABiDU-account. As a SABiDU member you can invite friends and colleagues to become a member of SABiDU, anytime. Please note that for the transmission of those invitations, we will implement security mechanisms. This is to avoid that mass mails or invitation mails are sent to false or incorrect addresses.

3.4 Target-oriented information and advertisements in SABiDU

Our SABiDU services are to a large extent free of charge. And we would like to continue to offer you these services for free. Like all of large free web services, we use some areas on the SABiDU websites for selected advertisement. We believe that relevant and target-oriented information and advertisement is also in the interest of our customers, instead of being harassed with banners and pop-ups. This is the result of numerous surveys. Information and advertisements are not regarded as a necessary evil, but are rather welcome if they are target-oriented and of interest to the respective user. This is the reason why we would like to offer you a free service including an obvious added value by using advertisements and information. These advertisements are clearly marked as "advertisements" and are displayed outside the main user section.

We believe to meet the basic requirements because each member can administer their preferences and therefore can immediately influence the incoming information and advertisements.

We accept that our opinion on an ideal value-added service and on advertisement might not be commonly shared. At the same time, we believe that every user can decide on their own which services to use or not to use at any time.

SABiDU is still at a test stage. Yet, users and large surveys have proved that there are no concerns regarding privacy policy in our processes.
